Durham....and I am caught up!!!! YEA!
Thursday night Russ and I headed out to Durham to find us an apartment to live in this coming year....We started the trip off with me cancelling my debit card on the way to the airport because of what I thought was fraud on my card, continued the trip out with a delay in Atlanta that got us to Durham about 2 AM, woke up to find out it was Russ's card that someone had a field day on in Tallahassee, Fl at Target and several other stores which left us without a debit card!!! We went on to see 10 apartments my highly organized, OCD husband had laid out for us with a spread sheet and ALL the info....We spent most of Friday in Cary, NC a suburb of Durham and decided it was too quite for us to live at...I mean, if we are moving across the country we might as well be near all the action for a year!!~ So, that took us to the Brier Creek area. We found 6 apartments that I could live at with no problem. The shopping center that is less than a mile from all of them has a Ross, TJ Maxx with a seperate home goods, Super Target, and a store like a Sam's....along with 40 restaurants with every ethnicity you can imagine!! We were so excited!....well, I should say I was SO excited! Also, there is a doctor, dentist, and pharmacist across the street as well which is so helpful with 3 kiddos. The elementary school (Brier Creek Elementary) is less than a quarter of a mile away along with a community center that has all sorts of activities for the kids. The elementary school is a year round school which will be interesting but I think it will work out better for us to make more frequent trips home...yea! They do 6-9 weeks in session and then 3 off. So, we will see. Also, this area is only 13 miles from Russ's office which is nice. The only negative.....there are only 3 sonics in the entire region and the closest one is 9 miles away! haha! There are 3 really nice mall that are 10 miles or less away and one that we really liked! Last night we went out to dinner after apartment hunting ALL day again so if we look exhausted it is because we were! We ate at Maggianos and it is one of the best restaurants I have even eaten at...if you ever have the chance take it! There was a 3 hour wait with is being valentine's day and all so we went and watched a movie while waiting!! We saw When in Rome...it was a pretty cheesy but entertaining. We had fun despite a few major bumps in the road and I am looking forward to the big move now~ I only took two pics the entire trip! When the kids aren't around it is not a priority! haha!

Love all your catch-up posts! You are doing better than me, I just posted Christmas last night! Still two months behind!! Love the pics of Lexi's lost tooth. That is so exciting. Seems like just yesterday that you found out you were expecting with her. We will miss ya'll when you leave for Durham.
